PERSHORE STREET PBSA

Pershore Street PBSA will be the first phase in the redevelopment of the Arcadian.

An empty plot, used as a service yard, will instead see a new part 4, 11 & 15-storey that acts as a catalyst for future phases.

The development will accommodate 321-bedroom purpose-built student accommodation – 299 standard & 22 accessible studios – 397 sqm of commercial, with amenity space and a roof terrace.

This would include a series of lounges, study rooms, a laundry and post room, two external terraces (133 sqm), and a secure store for 64 cycles.

Public art, a mural or a digital screen, designed by Kelly Lui, is also proposed on the lift core (by way of condition after approval).

FUTURE PHASES

SAMA is working with the site owner LCP to undertake the long-term, phased redevelopment, with the desire to increase the no. of homes across the site, whilst maintaining the leisure and entertainment offer.

Heights of 30 storeys+ on the corner between Ladywell Walk and Pershore Street, providing a varied transition up in height through to SBQ and the wider developments in the area, is expected.
